In the end, it's a close call, but at £93 we think the Silent Base 800 is too expensive to be award-worthy. It's certainly a good chassis, but in a market full of good mid-tower offerings, that's not quite enough. For example, the low-noise Fractal Design R4 may ship with one less fan, but it has better cooling and onboard fan control as well as comparble hardware support in a smaller design for £20 less.

Very Silent Operation
