AT&T and Cisco have developed a robust small cell solution for the home and home office: the AT&T MicroCell. The AT&T MicroCell provides cellular coverage indoors where you need it most. It connects to AT&T's network using existing broadband Internet service.
Is the 3G light blinking green or red? If the light is blinking green, you have lost connectivity to the AT&T Mobility Servers. If the light is blinking red, that could indicate either a hardware failure or an update that didn't reset properly and the MicroCell 'thinks' it is a hardware failure.Your internet can be fine but something is preventing the MicroCell from connecting. Have a look at the manual AT&T 3G Microcell User manual online for free. It’s possible to download the document as PDF or print. UserManuals.tech offer 164 ATT manuals and user’s guides for free. Installing near a window is strongly recommended to ensure access to Global Positioning System (GPS). A GPS link is needed to verify the device location during initial startup.
MicroCell unit may be moved if new location is within an AT&T authorized service area and properly registered online.
Calls transfer out, but do not transfer in. Calls transfer from the AT&T MicroCell to the strongest available AT&T tower signal. Calls connected on the cell tower do not transfer to the MicroCell.
Firewall Specifications System Administrators (Business Customers):Installing the MicroCell behind a firewall, or behind a router with firewall capabilities, requires the following ports be opened to prevent the firewall from blocking communication with the network. This type of installation is typically found in corporate environments.
123/UDP:NTP timing (NTP traffic)
443/TCP:Https over TLS/SSL for provisioning and management traffic
4500/UDP:IPSec NAT Traversal (for all signaling, data, voice traffic)
At&t Universal Card Login
500/UDP:IPSec Phase 1 prior to NAT detection (after NAT detection, 4500/UDP is used)
