Manhattan Plaza Hd-s2 User Manual

in Technical#1
Hello, first post - problem I'm afraid.
I have an LG 42LN575V TV and have recently bought the Manhattan Plaza HD.S2 Freesat receiver. My signal strength from Astra 28.2 E averages 65% and signal quality 100%, problem comes in the form of motion blur, worse on CBS Action than any other channel. Iv'e tried scanning/updating the channels twice to no avail, have contacted Manhattan manufacturers and they say could be the TV's may have a motion sensor, which I could try turning off. My problem is I cannot see any reference in the TV's instruction manual for any such thing and quite honestly would rather not do this as the TV has proved to be excellent in every way.
I only changed receiver from a Silvercrest SL65 (faultless) to the Plaza to get HD.
There appears to be some incompatibility, can anyone confirm this or suggest any configuration settings?

HD channels are transmitted with Dolby Digital audio. If you cannot hear any sound on HD channels, it is likely that your TV does not support Dolby Digital but Dolby Digital is set to 'On' in the Sound section of the Settings menu.

On some sets, a picture setting is specific to each mode - AV and tuner may have separate settings, so changing the STB input may not affect other modes.
This looks a very nice bit of kit. Not many sets have USALS for satellite motor control. I presume you bought the Manhattan for the Freesat EPG. What's the picture like if you use the internal satellite tuner?

SL 65 was in possession for many years,I agree faultless, I changed to a HD labgear for HD for non Astra 28.2 channels. Labgear is a great picture, but rubbish tuning etc, not a patch on the SL 65.
Is the LG TV mentioned USALS, if so excellent, I have a three year old Pana HD with other sat, alas no usals.

Hi jw, I have set the TruMotion > users _ 8 and I'll see if this makes any difference, if it does I'll be on the right track, thanks.
Manhattan have said they are willing to replace the unit, but have also asked if my TV can be adjusted to turn off the 50hz/100hz (I believe this is the refresh rate) as it could be conflicting with the Plaza unit. I'd prefer not to do this as when playing movies (usb stick) the picture is excellent, and I wouldn't want to have to keep adjusting the TV to accommodate this receiver. I had a little time with a Bush HD receiver (superb picture) but it kept dropping stations (hence the Plaza) and has now been superseded, but plugged and played without any alterations to the TV at all. The internal tuner? I've re-downloaded both the freesat and non-freesat twice (same results) if that's what you mean??
Hi janet, yep the SL65 was a great unit, pity it couldn't receive HD or it would still be plugged in now.

The User Guide says the TV has a satellite receiver, though probably not Freesat, so only Now & Next EPG and no logical numbering. I'd expect the picture to be better.

Tried all the settings available, the manufacturers had suggested switching off the motion correction on the TV, but this made it worse. Eventually a replacement unit was sent out, got it today but it turns out the remote may be faulty (their sending another - sheesh) So now I've reconnected my old Silvercrest SL65, picture is brilliant, not HD of coarse, but brilliant. I'll keep all posted as to the outcome of the Plaza HD.S2 once the new remote arrives, any other faults and it's money back time and they can throw the Plaza HD.S2 in the bin if they wish. Thanks for all your input so far.
