'MY MACHINE ISNT WORKING, WHAT CAN I DO!!!!!???

Its hard to tell you what to do without knowing what's wrong if you can tell me what it is doing or not doing I maybe able to help you. Just saying BROTHER SEWING MACHINES PROJECT RUNWAY is not working can be a lot of different things. So let me know what is going on so I can help you because once you figure out what's wrong you will love your machine I quilt on my everyday and free motion and BROTHER SEWING MACHINES PROJECT RUNWAY sews beautiful I love my brother project runway and I know you will too. please get back with me and let me know what it is doing so I can help you.
Check your manual. It is very touchy and when that has happened to me it has been because of threading or thread problems. Also, be sure you are using the correct bobbins - only those by Brother will work! Take out the bobbin, remove the upper thread, look at the manual pictures and reload both back into the machine. When mine has just stopped so far, it has only to do with the threading. It is sensitive in that respect. Good luck
E6 code? Turn BROTHER SEWING MACHINES PROJECT RUNWAY off, wait about 30 seconds & turn on. Make sure no fabric or thread is stuck in machine. Unless there's a serious interest in sewing, professionally, I would find one with not as many options. Then you'll know how much of initiative the 12-year old seamstress or tailor actually has. Brother machines I think are the most user friendly. I would probably recommend one that isn't computerized but I this one does have lots of safety features programed in to help prevent the machine from being damaged. I would still recommend that someone show them the basics in order to understand the machine. The manual is quite helpful too.

'HOW MANY LAYERS OF FABRIC CAN THIS SEW THROUGH WITHOUT CAUSING A PROBLEM?

The only experience I have had is regular 2 layers of fabric and batting. I always refer to the manual when not sure. Be sure to check the recommendations regarding needle size, etc. There is instruction on how to handle thickness under the pressure foot so I assume that the machine should do well with a lot of thickness. A lot depends on the fabric and the ease of penetration of the needle into any fabric. Denim is pretty dense and thick so if the other commenter has no trouble with 3 layers of it, BROTHER SEWING MACHINES PROJECT RUNWAY tolerates a lot. I have found that the manual is pretty much my guide and I refer to BROTHER SEWING MACHINES PROJECT RUNWAY often - I took BROTHER SEWING MACHINES PROJECT RUNWAY to Office Max and had BROTHER SEWING MACHINES PROJECT RUNWAY spiral bound for more convenience in use. If you have a Hobby lobby store they offer classes. Maybe someone at your church or a friend's church may have a seamstress that will hold a class. I learned the basics in a church sewing class.

It's fine for piecing a quilt but I wouldn't try machine quilting with it. I use a Bernina to do my machine free-motion quilting. I take the Brother to my group's quilting get togethers for piecing and later use the Bernina for the more intricate work.
The CS6000i is a better machine and price for a quilting machine. This one has the extension table, but comes with no quilting or piecing feet. The CS6000i comes with both. Look at that model too if you are serious about quilting.

I do not know the exact weight but BROTHER SEWING MACHINES PROJECT RUNWAY is very light. I was using a White from the 1960's and grunting to get BROTHER SEWING MACHINES PROJECT RUNWAY on the table. Then borrowed a Singer from the 70's slightly lighter. This one can be lifted on handed by just about anyone. If you cannot disengage, or lower your feed dogs to get them out of the way, you can cover them instead. One way to cover the feed dogs on your machine is with a special piece of material called a Supreme Slider. This specially made plastic can be temporarily adhered to the bed of your machine, covering your feed dogs. I am not 100% positive on this one but I do believe you can lower the feed dogs to do free motion quilting. I purchased BROTHER SEWING MACHINES PROJECT RUNWAY as a gift for a new sewer and she loves this machine. Most of the newer machines you can lower feed dogs to do free motion, should tell you on the Brother site if this is the case.

With the proper needle! Sewing through up to 8 layers of general fabric with no problems daily! The machine will let you know when the needle is dulling or gets a bend from pushing through the layers! Awesome machine, going to be purchasing another for my daughter's birthday!! She loves building cosplay outfits, gosh only knows what she will want to sew next!! Can't wait to see her face when she has her own!! Let the machine do the work, no pushing or pulling, do regular cleanings and you will have the best machine there is out there! My singer is useless compared to Brother!! Have fun creating!!
The first thing I used the machine for was to shorten a pair of 16 ounce Levi jeans and I had no I problem doing so. I have since shortened a pair of insulated overalls, again I had no I problem with the machine handling the bulky fabric
According to the manual BROTHER SEWING MACHINES PROJECT RUNWAY can sew heavy fabrics as long as you use the proper heavy weight needle used for denim and other heavy fabrics. IE: 90/14 - 100/14. Hope this helps.

A few bobbins came with the machine and i ordered a package of Brother bobbins to be on the safe side. I checked the manual before answering your question and the bobbin that is shown Not to use is the same size as the Singer bobbin (as i had some left over as well). The Singer bobbin is a bit smaller than the Brother bobbin. Hope this helps. :)
To the best of my knowledge you will not be able to use Singer bobbins. Most machines have a specific bobbin that should be used. They are very reasonably priced, you will create a major problem if you do not use the correct bobbins in any machine.
Most machines are bobbin specific. I have a few old Singer bobbins that I use, but I also have some universal metal bobbins that work in both machines. I would buy bobbins that will fit that machine just to avoid any headaches later.
I have never owned a singer. But all Bobbons should be universal.

BROTHER SEWING MACHINES PROJECT RUNWAY is really very simple, just make sure you have hand wheel where raised line on wheel matches crease, pull thread left to right over guide, press leaver on guide (will go through needle eye) There is a small hook that protrudes through needle between the U shape bars, pull thread slightly upwards in front of needle & gently release pressure in lever. Thread will loop out on backside. Will take a couple of times to get the hang of it, but BROTHER SEWING MACHINES PROJECT RUNWAY is no different than the threader on my sisters $3000 Berdina.
The machine does have a needle threader, but figuring BROTHER SEWING MACHINES PROJECT RUNWAY out takes some time and the user's manual is a bit confusing. if you don't use the machine very often, you could forget how to use the threader.

I love my new Runway machine. I have sewed for 50 years and I use the same tension for everything and that is between 3 and 4, but 4 gives me the best results. There is a chart in the book but it's for the stitch and not the tension. I hope this helps you.

Then again, I'm old & have always had metal machines, so this is a drastic change for me. In a nutshell... it's inexpensive & will do the job.

I have a PRW CE7070....not know the dimensions of your cabinet, I can't answer this....machine only I am sure would fit, but not sure if you were to put the table extension on....this model comes with the table extension. I can say BROTHER SEWING MACHINES PROJECT RUNWAY is more streamlined than my 35 year old machine.
None of them. They don't have anywhere for the bolt to hold them in the cabinets. Not only that, but if you put BROTHER SEWING MACHINES PROJECT RUNWAY into a permanent cabinet, you can't install the extension table. Computerized machines are also not made to hang upside down or lay on their side.
Even if you have the type of cabinet that has a hydrolic lift, you would not be able to attach the extension table. But other than that, I doubt if any newer sewing machine will attach or work in an older cabinet. I use a table, and that works fine for me.

If you are beginner, the machine + accessories has everything you might need. You might want to get some extra spools of thread, some pins, a pair of nice sewing scissors etc. but as you sew you will figure out what you need.

Most home sewing machines are low shank.That said, I'm not happy with my purchase. The manual must have been written by someone whose native language is not English and the threading mechanism is not easy to figure out.
The feet snap attach with the little bar that is across the foot. I'm sorry I don't think I know what 'low shank' is. Hope this helps.

'IS THERE A 25 YEAR WARRANTY

25 yrs. on limited parts stated on the front of machine but not stated in the instruction book. Might be helpful. So far the machine works great!! Warranty may have been on the card I returned, but didn't make a copy. Copy everything!! Love the machine and making lots of things for our school district, friends, family, humane society, but, not me! Oops! I'll start on that soon. Love to sew!!
Brother is a pretty reliable company. The warranty covers parts but no labor. That's the rub. Labor starts at $75 an hour. But used properly, BROTHER SEWING MACHINES PROJECT RUNWAY is great. It's a wonderful machine and sews so well. If BROTHER SEWING MACHINES PROJECT RUNWAY is used and not abused BROTHER SEWING MACHINES PROJECT RUNWAY will last more than 25 years. The CE7070 works only with a footpedal (which controls the speed). BROTHER SEWING MACHINES PROJECT RUNWAY does not have a speed slider, manual start/stop button, nor needle position button. BROTHER SEWING MACHINES PROJECT RUNWAY does not have as many features as the CS6000i. BROTHER SEWING MACHINES PROJECT RUNWAY does have 10 more stitches but I don't know how useful those are. If you have more questions, add a comment to my review and I'll try to answer it.
Go with the CS6000i, for 5 bucks, the features are better. and BROTHER SEWING MACHINES PROJECT RUNWAY has the feet to do quilting with. All of the Brother Project Runway models are more expensive .... and you pay for their free advertising.

It's not an embroidery machine. Not designed for it. I'd think if you're looking to do embroidery, looking into a machine designed for that, would be your best bet.
There are a few basic embroidery stitches but it's definitely not a embroidery machine.

The pressure feet snap on easily. You just raise the foot and press a black lever on the back of the foot to release it. To put on a foot, you simply line up the foot with the presser bar, lower the bar, press the black lever on the back of the foot, and BROTHER SEWING MACHINES PROJECT RUNWAY will snap in place. My old New Home machine used the same system. BROTHER SEWING MACHINES PROJECT RUNWAY is much quicker than using screw-attached d feet.
